The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production, improving supplier performance and driving operational efficiency across a busy manufacturing environment.\n\nResponsibilities for Supply Chain and Logistics Manager\n\nAs Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end supply chain activity, ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements while maintaining cost-effective and efficient logistics operations. You will work closely with production, operations, suppliers and logistics partners to improve performance, stock accuracy and delivery reliability.\n\n• Manage procurement of raw materials, consumables and key production requirements\n• Develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance\n• Manage inventory levels, stock accuracy and material availability\n• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including transport providers and logistics partners\n• Work closely with production and operations teams to support manufacturing requirements\n• Drive improvements in OTIF, lead times, cost control and overall supply chain performance\n\nRequirements for Supply Chain and Logistics Manager\n\nThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics or materials management within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
You should be commercially aware, organised and confident managing suppliers, stock, systems and cross-functional relationships.\n\n• Previous experience as a Supply Chain Manager, Logistics Manager, Procurement Manager or similar\n• Manufacturing, engineering or industrial sector experience\n• Strong supplier management, negotiation and contract management skills\n• Experience using ERP or MRP systems\n• Excellent planning, organisational and analytical skills\n• Ability to work closely with production, operations and commercial teams\n• CIPS, CILT, Lean or continuous improvement experience would be beneficial\n• Experience within heavy manufacturing, foundry, steel or automotive sectors would be advantageous
